So today I thought about this thing for the first time in a good long while. So much has happened since then! Among them, I've moved out, settled in, and am getting some epic amounts of tomatoes, capsicums and paprikas from my vege garden! CHECK 'EM OUT:

It's been unseasonally rainy today, so I thought I'd better pick all my tomatoes to stop them from splitting in the rain. Out I went, not really caring about the rain - two minutes later I was drenched! In the middle of December! WTF!

I love my capsicums. I have two plants each of red, green and yellow caps, but this is my first red cap :) so stoked. I haven't had any yellow ones yet, but plenty of green ones. My paprika bush has been so prolific and THEY ARE SO DELICIOUS!

Another shot of my beauties. That massive one is a "Black Russian" heirloom tomato, which I highly recommend to anyone! They have been growing really easily and they are a so tasty and so meaty; hardly any juice and seeds whatsover!

No doubt I'll be posting more photos soon as I feel I am clogging up my facebook with constant posts about all my hauls haha.

I love the use of nature inspired elements in this home. The home belongs to Vanessa Partridge and was featured on The Design Files.

Love the re-purpose-ing of these old lockers!
I want a deer in my loungeroom :(

A massive bath in the bedroom would be nice, considering I pretty much always pass out after a hot bath!

I recently stumbled across some amazing artwork that graphic designers around the country have put together for NORTH SOUTH EAST WEST DECK PROJECT by General Pants Co.

Standing out from the rest, for me, are the works of Hayley O:

This is a really cool idea, I like the plain wood concept, might have a go at doing this myself... eventually...

Found this on the awesome "online sketchbook" by Gold Coast local Carmel Dunne

Look at these chairs I got for $30!! so retro and comfy!
I can see myself sitting and playing xbox in this for quite a few hours..

I think the green will match the grey walls quite nicely (I hope!)
So the time has come for me to move out of my parents place!

I am getting quite excited about the renovation possibilities in this house. A not looked after, dilapidated mid '90's blank canvas, I have pretty much free reign over what I can do - ON A BUDGET!

The first thing I have to do is pick out paint colours. The dark black flecked tiles throughout the house pose a bit of an issue though. I wanted to stick to what I know and love; brown, brown, brown! However, that won't work with these tiles. I've decided on a grey and dark blue theme, with opportunities for maroony feature walls throughout. I think I could even throw some green in there somewhere, perhaps the kitchen.

I am paint shopping tonight, wish me luck!

Here are some images I have used for inspiration:

Okay so that last one is a bit dramatic, but I like the grey and blue combination with the dark flooring.

- Hunting Grounds

how solid are your choices?
we are fluid. look at these people:

they run, but don't really know where they are going

who cares. they can always turn back, get some directions and try again.
if you were to ask these people, they would have said they enjoyed it anyway.

why? because they chose to do it.
